KKR-backed Körber Supply Chain Software acquires transportation software provider MercuryGate International

Körber Supply Chain Software, a joint venture of Körber AG and KKR, has agreed to acquire MercuryGate International Inc., a provider of transportation management systems based in Cary, N.C. No financial terms were disclosed.

Körber Supply Chain Software is a German provider of software solutions for supply chain implementation.

MercuryGate is supported by Summit Partners.

In a statement about the deal, Peter Rottier, Managing Director of Summit Partners, which first partnered with MercuryGate in 2018, said, “We believed that global supply chains and growing customer demand for faster order-to-delivery times would support increased adoption of solutions like MercuryGate that are designed to help shippers and logistics providers mitigate the costs and complexities associated with transportation. It has been exciting to work with the MercuryGate team to help realize this vision.”
