Mediaproxy to Showcase AI-Powered Captioning and Transcription for LogServer at IBC 2024

MELBOURNE, Australia—Mediaproxy will showcase the latest additions to its LogServer compliance monitoring system, including support for AI-powered captions and transcripts, as well as open-source monitoring and coordination software, at IBC 2024, September 13–16 at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Center.

The company said LogServer now supports AI-Media Technologies’ LEXI Recorded self-captioning and transcription system and Skyline Communications’ DataMiner open monitoring and coordination solution.

For U.S. broadcasters, LogServer offers ATSC 3.0 capability for NextGen IP feeds. Mediaproxy has developed a new software-based technique for monitoring ATSC 3.0 streams both on and off air, which is necessary for analyzing the multiple segments and services that are being transmitted, it said.

LogServer also complies with major standards currently used in broadcast and streaming television, including SMPTE ST 2110 and NMOS (Networked Media Open Specifications) for transporting media over IP networks and SCTE (Society of Telecommunications Engineers) guidelines for dynamic ad insertion. Mediaproxy will also demonstrate cloud-native operation and the ability to work with clustered decentralized systems over IP networks, it said.

The company will show off a new clip processor and publisher. The solution, designed from the ground up, builds on the success of the LogJam engine in providing scalable options for processing workflows, it said.

Mediaproxy will also feature the latest generation of interactive software-based multiviewing systems and other Monwall multiviewer add-ons.
