Apple has released the third public beta of iOS 18, macOS Sequoia, and iPadOS 18 to users enrolled in the public beta testing program. These public betas are consistent with the 5th developer beta that was released the day before.

New tvOS 18 and watchOS 11 public betas are also available for those testing those versions of the system software as well.

macOS Sequoia includes new wallpapers, a Passwords app, Apple Intelligence AI features, new screensavers, changes to the Notes and Photos apps, improvements to Safari, and perhaps most notably the excellent new iPhone Mirroring feature that lets you interact with your iPhone from your Mac. Anyone interested can install the public beta of macOS Sequoia, although the beta system software is riddled with bugs and is not recommended for most Mac users.

iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 also include new features, including dark mode for icons and widgets, a dedicated Passwords app, icon tinting and the ability to hide icon text, Control Center customization, Game mode for iPhone, a Calculator app for iPad, a strangely redesigned Photos app interface that is constantly being improved and takes some getting used to, Apple Intelligence AI features, and more. Any iPhone or iPad user can sign up for beta testing and install the iOS 18 public beta or iPadOS 18 public beta on their device, but the beta system software is significantly more buggy than the final versions and is therefore not recommended for most casual users.
