Hyderabad (Telangana) (India), August 7: All India Robotics Association (AIRA) in collaboration with Telangana Academy of Skill and Knowledge (TASK) and Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) today announced BotSkilling and BotLabs initiatives at T-Hub, Hyderabad. These initiatives aim to establish a comprehensive framework for robotics education and research in colleges and universities in Telangana. AIRA, TASK and ESSCI jointly announced their goal to train 1 million roboticists in Telangana in the next decade. This includes scientists, engineers, trainers, professionals from manufacturing, service and maintenance industries.

AIRA CEO Pallav Bajjuri kicked off the event by reviewing AIRA’s vision for the robotics ecosystem in India. Addressing the audience comprising leaders from over 50 higher education institutions across Telangana, Pallav outlined AIRA’s mission as “accelerating robotics by enabling innovation, education and collaboration.” Launched in 2020, AIRA works with governments, educational institutions, industries and robotics startups to connect the dots with every stakeholder in the ecosystem.

The event was attended by a panel of experts and ecosystem facilitators including Ramadevi Lanka, Director, Emerging Technologies, Telangana, Dr. Abhilasha Guar from Electronics Sector Skill Council of India (ESSCI), Sirkanth Sinha from Telangana Association of Skill and Knowledge (TASK), Mahankali Srinivas Rao from T Hub, Vinod Bothale from IN-SPACe and others.
