SIXGEN buys cyber automation company Boldend; quote from Jack Wilmer

Cybersecurity company SIX GEN has acquired Boldend Expand its offerings to include cyber automation tools, electronic warfare software and platforms, and acquire the engineers and technical staff needed to accelerate the development and delivery of capabilities for the digital warfighter and support U.S. defense and national security missions.

SIXGEN CEO Boldend said on Tuesday Mike Barry following the acquisition, he will become a senior member of the team.

“Boldend brings a dynamic team of individuals with exceptional mission experience and an unmatched portfolio of solutions that are integral to SIXGEN’s growth goals and strengthen our product development plans. Boldend’s curated and highly mission-focused intellectual property strengthens our ability to meet the needs of our partners and customers,” said SIXGEN’s CEO Jack Wilmer.

Boldend focuses on developing software that scales cyber capabilities and products that integrate electronic warfare elements with modern cyber platforms to support defense and national security missions.

This transaction marks the second acquisition of SIXGEN, which was acquired by a private investment company Port of Washington Partners in November.

In July SIXGEN bought cybersecurity company Secure Enterprise Engineering in an effort to expand its software offering, customer relationships and technical capabilities.

Morrison & Foerster served as legal counsel to Washington Harbor in the transaction. Cooley advised Boldend on the legal aspects of the transaction.
