Estée Lauder Companies Names Rashida La Lande Executive Vice President and General Counsel

The Estée Lauder Companies has named Rashida La Lande as Executive Vice President and General Counsel, effective August 19, 2024. She will also join the company’s Executive Leadership Team. La Lande will report to William P. Lauder, Executive Chairman, and Fabrizio Freda, President and Chief Executive Officer.

La Lande has more than 25 years of experience advising corporations and representing firms and private equity sponsors in the consumer goods, retail, financial services and technology industries.

As Executive Vice President and General Counsel, La Lande will be responsible for ELC’s global legal organization. She will serve as a strategic advisor to the organization and ELC’s board of directors on global legal matters and the company’s operations.

In this role, she will lead ELC’s global legal strategy, practices, and policies. She will also oversee the firm’s Global Privacy Office and Global Security Team.

La Lande will act as a key partner to the company’s leadership and business units across the organization on a range of legal matters, including corporate strategy, reporting, compliance, risk mitigation, governance and business transactions. He will also lead the company’s legal review of potential acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures.

Prior to joining ELC, La Lande was with The Kraft Heinz Company, where she held various leadership positions since January 2018. Most recently, in December 2023, she served as executive vice president and global chief legal and corporate officer.

During her tenure at Kraft Heinz La Lande led legal functions including corporate governance and securities, transactions, regulatory, intellectual property, litigation, and labor and employment. She also oversaw the company’s environmental, social and governance and global government affairs activities.
