Coreangels Launches First Business Angel Fund in the Middle East and Africa

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Coreangels, a global community of angel investors and business angel funds, announced the launch of Coreangels Middle East and Arica (MEA) branches.

This fund will invest in pre-seed and seed technology startups in the Middle East and Africa. It aims to match hundreds of startups with angel investors.

The recently launched Coreangels MEA Network is an angel investor network that connects and supports angel investors, early stage investors, entrepreneurs and corporates seeking investment opportunities, primarily in breakthrough technology innovations in the Middle East and Africa.

Coreangels MEA is the first fund among Coreangels’ global angel funds to focus on the Middle East and Africa market. It will operate in partnership with ORO Partners from PTS Holding to lead the fund.

Maha Mandour, Group Managing Director of PTS Holdings, started this collaboration with a clear mission.

“Our vision is to source unique investment opportunities in innovative ideas and startups in the region from a new generation of young, talented individuals and work closely with them to play a significant role in a way that will ensure a bright future for the region,” she said.

Reem Sheriff, Managing Partner of ORO Partners, expressed her excitement at leading the CoreAngels MEA angel fund.

Coreangels MEA is headquartered in Cairo and is part of the global Coreangels International community.

On the other hand, Reem Sheriff, Managing Partner of ORO Partners, expressed her excitement to lead the CoreAngels MEA angel fund and looks forward to welcoming both startups and investors on board of the fund.
