Plano-based Fortis names industry veteran as executive vice president of B2B » Dallas Innovates

Robert West has been named executive vice president of B2B at Plano-based Fortis, a leader in payment technology for software vendors, ERP customers and emerging growth companies.

Fortis said West has a proven track record of growing the AR and AP payments business through partnerships and will lead the company’s expansion into the B2B market.

“Robert’s deep experience in the payments industry, his success in creating win-win partnerships and his expertise in building high-performing teams make him an invaluable asset to Fortis,” CEO Greg Cohen said in a statement. “His leadership will be critical to the execution of our B2B strategy and will deliver exceptional value to our partners and customers.”

Fortis said it has rapidly expanded its presence in the ERP ecosystem and continues to gain traction in the B2B segment.

Through “seamless integration” with industry leaders such as NetSuite, Sage, Microsoft, Acumatica and QuickBooks via a robust API, Fortis has enabled businesses across a variety of sectors to optimize their accounts receivable and payments processes.

The Fortis platform also connects with leading eCommerce platforms and solution providers in the ERP ecosystem, the company said. The platform provides a holistic and easy-to-integrate connection to automated workflows for billing, collections and other processes, freeing up trade receivables teams to focus on strategic initiatives.

Joins Fortis from EBizCharge

The company said West brings nearly a decade of experience in mergers and acquisitions, revenue operations and channel development to Fortis. He joined Fortis from EBizCharge, where he successfully built and led teams that enabled the organization to grow its partner business by more than 25%.

Previously, he served as Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at OnPay Solutions, an AP payments company, where he was responsible for growth initiatives and their ultimate sale to Medius.

“I am excited to join the Fortis team and help drive the company’s continued growth,” West said in a statement. “Fortis has a strong foundation and a clear vision for the future. I look forward to leveraging my expertise to expand our B2B reach and deliver exceptional value to our partners and customers.”

Fortis is a leader in ERP payments for software vendors, processing billions of dollars annually by providing comprehensive payment and trade facilitation solutions to partners and software developers.
