Leaven Kids Appoints Dr. Avina Gupta to Honorary Board of Directors – Times Herald Online

Leaven Kids announced this week the appointment of Dr. Avina Gupta, organizational psychologist and senior director of executive development at Chick-fil-A, to its Honorary Board of Directors.

Gupta will work with senior leadership to enhance employee development, strengthen organizational culture and create an inclusive learning environment for students and staff.

Since 2009, Leaven Kids has provided free after-school tutoring and mentoring in some of the most vulnerable neighborhoods in California and Texas. It serves as a community resource for children and their families by building learning centers in areas most impacted by poverty, crime, and high youth dropout rates.

As Senior Director of Executive Development at Chick-fil-A, Gupta develops world-class leaders who excel in fast-paced, global business environments. She founded two leadership development firms where she pioneered executive coaching programs for small, family-owned businesses and multibillion-dollar multinationals.

Gupta’s latest consulting firm, CenterSpoke, works with companies to create inclusive workplace cultures based on a shared sense of belonging. She has taught leadership courses around the world, from Vienna, Austria, to New York City, and serves as a special advocate for abused and neglected children in Atlanta, Georgia.

Drawing on her extensive experience, Gupta will support the development of Leaven Kids’ executive leadership team, principals, students, and families, equipping them with the tools and knowledge necessary to support their communities and the people around them.
