Google announces the new Pixel Buds Pro 2

Google has been making its own earbuds for a couple of years now, and the Pro series came out in 2021, so it’s about time for a refresh. As you can guess, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 come with improved drivers to deliver high-quality audio to your ears. This will make for an overall better listening experience. The first-generation Buds Pro sounded great, but these will sound better.

The improvements just include the sound going into your ears, but it also includes the sound that doesn’t. With the Silent Seal 2.0 technology, these earbuds can cancel double the ambient noise as with the first-generation Pro buds.

With that ANC on, the Pixel Buds Pro can last up to eight hours on a single charge. This gets a boost to 30 hours with the charging case. So, with it turned off, you’ll get even more mileage.

Lastly, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are 27% smaller than last generation buds, and they’re 24% lighter. This will add to the overall comfort.

AI…. in a pair of earbuds?!

This is Google we’re talking about, so it should come as no surprise that there are some AI shenanigans. These are the first earbuds that are actually powered by Google Gemini. So, rather than having to access Gemini on your phone, you will have it built into the actual earbuds to perform certain tasks. You’ll literally have an assistant in your earbuds.

We exclusively leaked all of the colors that these earbuds come in, and Google confirmed them. There are four options: Porcelain, Obsidian, Wintergreen, and Peony.

If you’re interested in picking up a pair, these will cost you $229. That’s $30 more than the first Pixel Buds Pro, but they’re well worth the money.
