ESL Shipping upbeat on bulk carrier demand in Baltic after profit rise

Finland’s ESL Shipping is forecasting better demand for bulk carriers later this year after reporting a rise in profits in the second quarter.

The Baltic Sea handysize boat specialist, owned by the listed Aspo Group, said charterer demands were likely to remain at a “fairly good level” in the steel industry, while they would gradually increase in the forestry industry.
