The 320W fast charging technology, called “320W SuperSonic Charge,” was developed by Chinese consumer electronics company Realme and outperforms previous chargers. Unlike conventional charging, in which energy is transferred to a single battery cell or to multiple cells sequentially, fast charging technology allows multiple cells in one battery to be charged simultaneously.

During the demonstration, Realme representatives were fast-charging a 4,420-milliampere-hour foldable battery design that consisted of four cells stacked on top of each other. This design provides 10% more capacity than conventional designs, company officials said.

According to a promotional video posted on the website, the researchers miniaturized each battery cell by creating layered structures to fit more charging capacity into a smaller space, then stacked four of the battery cells to mimic the shape of satellite panels. social platform X.

The company also created a power supply known as the “Pocket Cannon,” which has a power density of 3.3 watts per cubic centimeter. Other devices, including iPhones with a USB-C port, will draw power from the power supply, but not at the same rate.

For comparison, the 240W charger that the same company revealed last year featured an adapter with a power density of 2.34 watts per cubic centimeter. That previous technology could charge the Realme GT Neo 5 smartphone in under 10 minutes.

The company said the new adapter can be used with multiple fast charging standards, including UFCS, PD, and SuperVOOC, and has two USB-C ports so users can charge two devices simultaneously. Maximum charging speeds are up to 150W for Realme smartphones and 65W for compatible laptops.

Realme also unveiled the “AirGap” voltage transformer, which provides high-voltage isolation from smartphone batteries during electrical faults such as circuit failures, to prevent damage to the smartphone.

The transformer relies on something called “non-contact electromagnetic conversion.” A small transformer steps down the voltage to 20 volts to protect the battery’s life and helps the fast charger maintain 93% energy efficiency while charging.
