Oppenheimer analysts have published their best pairs of buy and sell ideas for each of the 11 S&P 500 (SP500) sectors.

Analysts wrote that the rate split from early August favors large-caps over small-caps and growth stocks over value stocks.

“We believe that the risks in the later cycle could also be mitigated by increasing exposure to the momentum factor, as the high-momentum factor has outpaced the low-momentum factor by one of the widest margins following a Fed rate cut when the yield curve is inverted,” they said.
