The government establishes an inter-ministerial body to prepare a list of victims of mass uprisings and provide them with assistance

The government has established an inter-ministerial commission tasked with preparing a full list of those killed and injured in the recent mass uprising, ensuring medical treatment for the wounded and providing financial assistance to the families of the deceased.

The 13-person committee appointed by the Department of Health Services includes representatives from various ministries and departments, as well as a representative of the Student Anti-Discrimination Movement.

The commission’s mandate includes developing a policy for providing medical care to those injured in the recent mass uprising of students and the general public, as well as providing assistance to the families of the deceased.

It will also prepare a comprehensive list of those killed and injured in the recent mass uprising.

Mohammad Humayun Kabir, former secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, was appointed chairman of the commission.

The commission will include representatives of the Cabinet Department, Medical Education and Social Welfare Department, Finance Department, Public Security Department, Ministry of Social Welfare, Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, Directorate of Technical Education and Madrasahs, Ministry of Primary and Universal Education, Directorate General of Health Services and Directorate General of Medical Education.

The Joint Secretary (Government and Private Health Management) of the Department of Health Services will be the Member Secretary of the Committee. The Committee may co-opt members as required.
