Mayfield Renewables has announced that Jacob Betcher has been named the new chief executive officer (CEO), effective immediately. Betcher is an experienced engineer and proven business leader who was head of engineering at Generac Power Systems and COO at Apricity.

First Solar has announced that Brian Willis is the new Manager of Corporate Communications and External Relations. Will was previously the Director of Communications for Pioneer Public Affairs and the Zero Emission Transportation Association.

Meteomatics, a weather intelligence and technology company, is expanding its partnership with U.S. energy companies and investors, adding Durjoy Mazumdar as Head of Sales and Marketing for North America Chris Hyde as senior sales manager for North America. Mazumdar and Hyde will lead Meteomatics’ continued expansion in the U.S. energy market as it equips businesses and investors with hyperlocal weather intelligence to predict energy demand and consumption in real time.

ThinkLabs AI, Inc., a startup focused on developing technology to help streamline the planning and operations of electric power grids by combining intelligent automation and artificial intelligence, announced the appointment of five new members to its senior team:

As Chief Technology Officer at Thinklabs AI, Neal Vali leads the overall technology strategy and vision of the company. Prior to Thinklabs AI, Neal was Head of Data and ML Engineering at GE Vernova, where he played a key role in redefining Grid Orchestration with cloud-native solutions.

Gang ZhengR&D Director at ThinkLabs, served as Director of Autonomous Network Orchestration and Senior Manager of WAMS at GE. There, he led the software development and delivery team in the US and Canada, focusing on product development, project delivery, and user support. His team successfully delivered key projects such as real-time distribution system health estimation, distribution model validation, and oscillation source location system for power grids.

Chaitanya BaoneThe ThinkLabs product manager has over 12 years of experience in energy and power management products spanning T&D network planning and operations, microgrids, smart EV charging, and energy storage optimization. Baone has a proven track record of driving growth through innovation and has held leadership roles in R&D, engineering, and product management organizations at GE, Eaton, Rivian, and Itron.

Surendranath (Suren) Vallabhajosyula is the head of machine learning and data engineering at ThinkLabs. In this role, he is responsible for defining and building the company’s machine learning platform, overseeing application design, architecture, security practices, and infrastructure for multi-cloud data and machine learning applications. Prior to joining ThinkLabs, Suren served as senior director of data architecture and platforms at Toyota Financial Services (TFS), where he led the development of a secure, scalable, multi-tenant global data platform to support a variety of data and machine learning initiatives.

Before I became the head of finance at ThinkLabs AI, Vimali PathmanathanCPA, CA worked for GE Vernova and Opus One Solutions (acquired by GE Vernova in 2022) for seven years. She held key roles as Controller and CFO, playing a key role in financing and acquisition activities.
