Produce Moms and Walmart Launch Joint Campaign

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (August 22, 2024) – Walmart BB #:143789 has launched its online “Back to School” campaign featuring The Produce Moms BB #:366223 CEO Lori Taylor and the TPM brand.

Taylor is featured on Walmart’s US website and e-commerce app in their “Back to School” campaign, which promotes products with The Produce Moms Approved certification.

“The Produce Moms Approved seal represents a product that supports our mission to put more fruits and vegetables on every table,” Taylor said. “NatureSweet, Wada Farms, Crunch Pak and Sage Fruit are some of the TPM partner brands represented in this Walmart campaign.”

TPM also awards the seal to brands committed to sustainability and employee engagement:
• the product prolongs the freshness of fruits and vegetables, thus supporting The Produce Moms’ mission to reduce food waste;
• reduces the amount of plastic waste generated during grocery shopping, consistent with The Produce Moms’ value of environmental sustainability;
• and the employer provides childcare, lactation facilities, and/or meaningful, paid maternity/paternity leave, thereby supporting The Produce Moms value of building a career and a family.

“The Produce Moms was a no-brainer for our Back to School campaign,” said Evan Gaetano, eCommerce Manager for Walmart Grocery, which handles online sales. “Lori and TPM advocate for accessible fruits and vegetables, which aligns with Walmart’s mission to help consumers save money while having access to what they need to live better.”

Consumers in the United States can browse and purchase TPM-approved products through Walmart.com and the Walmart mobile app. Featured brands include TPM partners NatureSweet, Wada Farms, CrunchPak, Sage Fruit (Cosmic Crisp Apples), Duda Farms Fresh Foods, Naturipe Farms and Envy Apples. Many of the fresh products are packaged and can easily be placed in a lunch box or bag.

“One way TPM promotes our mission to put fruits and vegetables on every table is by encouraging our audiences to always make fruits and vegetables available to their children when food is served,” Taylor said. “This campaign supports that by promoting convenient and fun products that parents can include in their offerings for their children.”
