Brazil offers $1.1 billion in financing for sustainable aviation fuel

Brazilian development bank BNDES and government financing agency Finep will allocate 6 billion Brazilian reais ($1.1 billion) to finance local production of renewable fuels to power planes and ships.

The credit lines, which come with reduced interest rates, can be used for expenses related to research, engineering projects, industrial plants, as well as the purchase of machinery and equipment, the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services said in a statement.
