Realpage Thoma Bravo sued by US over rental collusion

The United States has sued RealPage Inc., owned by Thoma Bravo LLC, for allegedly violating antitrust laws by helping real estate managers collude to inflate rental prices on millions of units across the country.

In a complaint filed Friday by the Justice Department, antitrust enforcers said RealPage’s software, which helps landlords set rental prices, effectively illegally raised prices for tenants. RealPage is a leading provider of software to the multifamily rental industry.
