FC Cincinnati Hires New General Manager

CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – FC Cincinnati has hired a new chief financial officer to replace the previous executive who left earlier this year.

Major League Soccer has hired Dan McGowan as its chief financial officer, effective Monday, Aug. 19. McGowan will assume the position previously held by Dennis Carroll. McGowan reports to FC Cincinnati president and co-CEO Jeff Berding.

McGowan has experience leading finance at a number of companies in Greater Cincinnati. He most recently spent two years as CFO of Mason-based West Point Optical Group, which owns 50 Pearle Vision stores. He was responsible for developing and implementing the company’s strategy to generate profit growth, strengthen financial controls and increase working capital. He was controller there for a year before becoming CFO.
