20% of candidates skip the police recruitment exam on the second day

Prajagraj:About 20% of 22,872 candidates omitted this Uttar Pradesh On Saturday, the second day of the five-day exercise, the recruitment exam for police officers was held at 63 examination centres across the district, while maintaining strict security measures.
“The second day of the exams went off without a hitch. Senior police officials, including the commissioner of police and DCP (city, Ganga Nagar and Yamuna Nagar) inspected most of the centres to maintain transparency in the exams,” DCP (protocol) and nodal officer Ashutosh Dwivedi told TOI. He said that around 80% of the candidates passed exams.
On the second day, police officers thoroughly searched and checked all candidates at the entrance gates to the centers.
The DCP said the entire exam was conducted under the surveillance of CCTV cameras as per the SOP (standard operating procedure) and adequate police forces, including policewomen, were deployed at all the centres. Moreover, a team was deputed at the control room to check the CCTV surveillance of all the centres on the reserve police lines. Police action was also taken at all major bus and railway stations to contain the chaos. Now, the exams will be held on August 25, 30 and 31.
