Lletget scores, adds 2 assists as FC Dallas beats DC United 4-3

WASHINGTON — Sebastian Lletget had a goal and two assists, Tsiki Ntsabeleng scored his first goal of the season and FC Dallas beat D.C. United 4-3 on Saturday night.

Asier Illarramendi played the ball to the far post and Lletget headed the ball into the net to give Dallas (9-11-6) a 2-1 lead in the 21st minute.

D.C. United’s Christian Benteke opened the scoring in the second minute. The 33-year-old Designated Player has 17 goals this season, which puts him on par with Cristian Arango of Real Salt Lake in the MLS.

Nkosi Tafari scored in the ninth round to make it 1-1 when Lletget’s corner kick hit the post.

Paul Arriola scored in the 40th minute, United’s David Schnegg responded in the 42nd minute and Tsiki Ntsabeleng scored in the 44th minute to make it 4-2.

Jared Stroud fired a shot from the right side of the penalty area in the 48th minute that bounced off the far post and into the net, completing the goal.

DC United (6-12-8) was shorthanded after Boris Enow — who received a yellow card in the 34th minute — was shown a red card in first-half stoppage time.

Four different Dallas players scored in the same half for the first time since 2019 and only the second time since 2010.
