Vallejo police investigate deadly Saturday morning shooting – Times Herald Online

The Vallejo Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting early Saturday morning that resulted in the city’s 16th homicide of 2024.

According to a VPD press release, on Saturday morning at 12:41 a.m., officers responded to a critical incident in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Street. A short time later, the department requested assistance from Solano County Sheriff’s deputies responding to an incident near Lewis Brown Road and BW Williams Drive.

Upon arrival, officers observed an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The male victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Vallejo Police Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation. The motive and circumstances of the shooting are currently under investigation.
