Blue Jays beat Williston 5-1

Aug. 24—WILLISTON, N.D. — The Jamestown High School boys soccer team continued its undefeated start to the season by defeating the Williston Coyotes 5-1 on Saturday, Aug. 24, at Williston High School.

The Blue Jays (4-0) got off to a fast start, scoring three goals in the first 15 minutes and then adding another in the 33rd minute to take a 4-0 lead. Jays Iddi Ramadhani completed a hat trick early in the second half to take a 5-0 lead before a Jays own goal cut their advantage to 5-1.

The Coyotes (2-1-1) had six shots on goal, while the Blue Jays had 16. In goal, Jays’ Grant Lunde stopped eight shots and Coyotes’ Tristan Roots stopped 11 shots.

The Jays will return to the field at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 30 when they will face Minot North.
