The Hanley Foundation, experts in addiction treatment, appoints new board members

The Hanley Foundation, Florida’s largest provider of addiction treatment and prevention services, announced today that David Ganek AND Keith Palagye were named to the nonprofit’s board of directors. Ganek is the founder of CityLights and the founder and former lead portfolio manager of Level Global Investors. Ganek and his wife Danielle are Palm Beach residents and began working with Hanley last year. Palagye is a dedicated philanthropist and former owner of Harold’s Coffee Lounge. Both Keith and his wife Stacy support numerous local causes, including Gratitude House, The Stacey and Keith Palagye Outreach Center at The Lord’s Place, The Mandel-Palagye Education Center at Palm Beach Day Academy, Comprehensive Alcoholism Rehabilitation Programs (CARP) and Inner-City Innovators. The Hanley Foundation is the largest provider of grant-funded prevention education programs in the state of Florida.

Caron Treatment Centers Adds Veteran to Team

Caron Treatment Centers, a nonprofit behavioral health organization that provides substance abuse treatment, research, prevention, and medical education, recently announced the appointment of Amber DeckardPsyD, NPT-C, as Chief of the Director of Neuropsychological and Psychological Services at Caron. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, she specializes in assessing the impact of trauma, disease, polypharmacy, and mental disorders on cognition and behavior—addressing diagnostic factors such as brain injury, stroke, chronic pain, stress, mental disorders, personality traits, substance abuse, dementia, intellectual ability (IQ), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and mental abilities.

County housing group appoints new board members

The Palm Beach County Housing Leadership Council has announced new board appointments. The two new board members are Michelle JacobsPresident and CEO of the Palm Beach County Economic Council and Jennifer MortonPresident, JMorton Planning & Landscape Architecture. The Housing Leadership Council of Palm Beach County is a coalition of community leaders who work to maintain the economic viability of the County by making housing affordable and sustainable for all Palm Beach County residents.

Girls and young women advocacy group names executive director

The Pace Center for Girls, a nationally recognized model that provides education, mentoring, training, and advocacy to girls and young women, recently announced Mindy Hanken as executive director of Pace Palm Beach. Hanken brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in nonprofit and youth development to the organization, and a proven track record of making an impact in the community. She most recently served as director of people and programs for the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County.

Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce Fills Leadership Positions

The Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce recently announced its new board chairman, as well as three new committee chairs. Former Palm Beach Post publisher Timothy D. Burke was appointed chairman. Member of the board Corey Saban was elected chairman of the group’s government affairs committee. Jan Brandes will now serve as chairman of the ambassadors’ committee. Taylor Smith will chair their Young Professionals Council. The Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce is one of the largest and most active business organizations in Southeast Florida.

Rosarian Academy is hiring a graduate for the position of Marketing and Communications Specialist

Rosarian Academy in West Palm Beach is hiring Sophie’s Fountain as the new director of marketing and communications. Fountain graduated from the prestigious downtown school in 2013, then Cardinal Newman High School, then Florida State University and finally Rollins College, where she earned an MBA.

Palm Beach Real Estate Firm Names CFO

Palm Beach-based real estate firm Township Capital has hired Jonathan Sparacio as CFO. Sparacio, who has held positions at Blackstone, KKR and EOS Investors, is excited to join Founder Matthew Gorelik in revolutionizing real estate investing with Township’s unique approach. Township Capital is an innovative real estate firm that connects investors with commercial real estate, providing clients and investors with high-quality opportunities in a variety of market conditions.

Local law firm promotes CFO to executive director

Jones Foster, a century-old commercial and private law firm with offices in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach and Jupiter, announced that Donald E. Greetham has been promoted to executive director. Greetham, previously the company’s chief financial officer, is a senior executive and certified public accountant with more than 30 years of experience in leadership, financial management, corporate strategy and business operations. He will lead all administrative and operational teams for the company and will work closely with management to develop and execute all operational, technology and financial strategies.
