John Abrahamthe bad luck at the box office continues, and his latest film Vedaa adds to the long list of disappointing premieres films such as Satjameva Jayate 2, Attack, The Return of the Villain EkAND Mumbai SagaHis only recent success was The Paidan alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
Vedaa was released on August 15 to make use of the long five-day weekend and ended up clashing with Shraddha Kapoor’s film Street 2 and Khel Khel Mein Akshaya, minted at a mere Rs 17.6 crore. During the pre-sale phase, Vedaa was second after Stree 2, leading the front, and My husband at third place. But after its release, Vedaa fell below Khel Khel Mein and was ranked third.
On the second Friday of this year, John Abraham and Salwar kameez starrer was able to collect only Rs 30 lakh, which was a 50% drop from Thursday’s collection.
