Trench Rossi Watanabe, a major Brazilian law firm that has entered into a strategic alliance with Baker McKenzie, and Brazilian law firm TozziniFreire Advogados recently hired partners specializing in mergers, acquisitions and private equity.

The growth came against the backdrop of a modest selection of deals in Latin America’s largest economy, which typically leads the region in mergers and acquisitions and other transactions.
