The Brazilian government forecasts GDP growth of 2.6% in 2025, with inflation expected to reach 3.3%

BRASILIA, Aug 30 (Reuters) – Brazil’s government forecasts economic growth of 2.6 percent in 2025 and inflation of 3.3 percent in a draft budget submitted to Congress on Friday evening.

The proposal assumes that the central government – ​​comprising the Treasury, central bank and social security – will end next year with a zero primary deficit, in line with the official target of achieving an amount equivalent to 0% of gross domestic product (GDP).
