Mylo Speech Buddy, a Filipino startup, was selected to represent the Philippines at the Collision Tech conference in Toronto, Canada. The conference was attended by 500 startups from over 30 countries, providing a global platform for Mylo Speech Buddy to showcase its health tech innovations as it prepares for international expansion.

Mylo Speech Buddy is an app designed to support people with speech delays and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The app uses a combination of artificial intelligence and speech therapy techniques to help children develop their speech skills. It also provides parents and caregivers with resources and support.

Mylo Speech Buddy was founded in 2023 by Vincent Rocha and Enrico Aquino. The company was created to address the personal challenges the founders faced due to the shortage of therapists. This challenge is not limited to local families, but is also experienced internationally by people from the Ausome community.

Mylo Speech Buddy has been recognized for its innovation and potential. It was a finalist in CNN Philippines’ “The Final Pitch” Season 9, a candidate in the SLINGSHOT x Venture Pilipinas Pitch Competition supported by the Department of Trade and Industry, and 1st Runner-up in PLDT and Smart Startup Innovation Challenge.

The company is currently focused on global expansion and language localization. “We are working on localizing our content for international markets to make Mylo Speech Buddy available worldwide” Rocha said.

Mylo Speech Buddy is an example of how technology can be used to improve the lives of people with disabilities. The app has the potential to help millions of children with speech delays and ASD develop their speech skills and reach their full potential.
