Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski is currently top of the La Liga Pichichi table with four goals.

The Polish striker has been in great form, with his latest goal coming against Valladolid, giving his team a 2-0 lead in a 7-0 win.

Interestingly, he has already found the net in three of the four matches he has played so far this season. In addition to his goal-scoring skills, Lewandowski has provided an assist and even hit the post once.

While it may not be his best start in terms of goals, Lewandowski has continued to show his consistent form, scoring five goals in his first three games in his first season at Barcelona.

Raphinha’s hat trick put him in the race

Right behind the Polish international on the list were Raphinha, who celebrated his first hat-trick in his career, and Dani Olmo, who was among the group of players who have scored two goals each.

It should be noted that Lewandowski has benefited from Barcelona’s system of play, which places more players closer to the opposition penalty area, allowing him to capitalise on goal-scoring opportunities.

He has scored four goals in as many games, one of them from the penalty spot. He scored twice against Valencia, scored the decisive goal against Athletic and found the net again in the final match. He also assisted one of Raphinha’s three goals in that match.

Lewandowski could have had an even more impressive tally. He hit the post against Valladolid and had a goal disallowed against Rayo Vallecano. Nevertheless, it’s a strong start to the season for the Polish striker.
