Ensign Group Acquires New Operations in Kansas

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif., Sept. 3, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Ensign Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: ENSG), the parent company of the Ensign™ family of companies that invest in and provide nursing and senior care services, physical therapy, occupational and speech therapy, other rehabilitation and health care services, and real estate, today announced that it has acquired the operations of Prairie Ridge Health and Rehabilitation, a 102-bed nursing facility located in Overland Park, Kansas. The acquisition was effective September 1, 2024 and is subject to a long-term triple-net lease.

On the same day, Ensign announced that in a separate transaction it had acquired the following nursing facilities in Colorado: Desert Willow Health and Rehabilitation Center106-bed nursing facility located in Pueblo, Colorado; Junction Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center133-bed nursing facility located in Durango, Colorado; Pelican Pointe Health & Rehabilitation Center104-bed nursing facility located in Windsor, Colorado; Riverbend Health and Rehabilitation Center100-bed nursing facility located in Loveland, Colorado; Broadview Health & Rehabilitation Center100-bed nursing facility located in Greeley, Colorado; Westlake Lodge Health & Rehabilitation Center107-bed nursing facility located in Greeley, Colorado; Linden Place Health and Rehabilitation Center110-bed nursing facility in Longmont, Colorado. These new facilities will be subject to long-term triple net leases.

Together, these acquisitions became effective September 1, 2024 and increase Ensign’s growing portfolio to 323 healthcare operations, 29 of which include senior living operations, in fourteen states. Ensign’s subsidiaries, including Standard Bearer, own 122 real estate assets. Mr. Port confirmed that Ensign is actively seeking opportunities to acquire and lease both successful and struggling skilled nursing, senior living and other healthcare-related businesses throughout the United States.
