Kiki Ramos Gindler to replace Evie DiCiaccio as Antaeus board chair

After three years of dedicated service, Eva DiCiaccio is stepping down as Chair of the Board of Directors for Antaeus Theatre Company. Respected arts leader Kiki Ramos Gindler has been named to replace her.

During her tenure, DiCiaccio led Antaeus through key changes, including implementing a new financial model that prioritized paying actors and hiring a full-time artistic director. She also led important conversations about equity, diversity, inclusion, and access within the company. With more than 20 years of experience as a senior development and communications specialist, DiCiaccio provides executive coaching and strategic consulting to nonprofits, higher education, and public agencies.

“Kiki’s deep experience in nonprofit leadership, coupled with her passion for the arts, make her the ideal leader for our board,” said DiCiaccio. “I am confident she will build on the strong foundation we have established. I look forward to continuing my work with Antaeus as we enter this next chapter under Kiki’s leadership.”

Gindler brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership to her new role as board chair. She currently serves as vice chair of the Music Center Foundation board and chair of its audit committee, serves on the board of the Los Angeles Master Chorale, where she co-chairs the development committee, and serves on the board of the Beth Morrison Projects, where she chairs the development and marketing committee. Previously, Gindler served as chair and president of the board of the Center Theatre Group and has held board positions at the Los Angeles Opera, The Music Center, Pomona College, and the Women’s Refugee Commission.

Gindler, who earned her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School, began her career at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, specializing in finance, intellectual property, leveraged buyouts, and mergers and acquisitions. She also held executive positions in the motion picture divisions of Columbia Pictures and Rysher Entertainment.

“Antaeus has a rich history of creating powerful and thought-provoking classics,” said Gindler. “I am honored to serve as board chair of this extraordinary organization as we explore new ways to engage our community, deepen our impact, and support the incredible group of artists who bring these stories to life.”

Throughout her career, Gindler has advocated for laws, policies, and programs that support disadvantaged populations. In recognition of her work in creating public housing for women and children, she was certified by the Wiley W. Manuel State Bar of California for pro bono service. She currently devotes her time to writing, civic affairs, and supporting nonprofit performing arts. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Gindler lives in Hancock Park.

Antaeus is an actor-led theatre company dedicated to creating timely and timeless work that illuminates the diversity of human experiences. Through performance, training and outreach, the company believes in the transformative power of live theatre.
