SCRA Welcomes Three Upstate Startups as Member Firms

South Carolina Research Authority, public, non-profit corporation which works to drive the state’s innovation economy, announced on September 4 that it welcomed NovaVia Spine and Biologics LLC Clemson University and Tax Titans Inc. AND Terratory LLC of Greenville as member companies.

NovaVia Spine and Biologics has created the NovaVia Annular Repair System, a medical device designed to repair a herniated intervertebral disc. The system is designed to act as a mechanical barrier that will cover the defect in the annulus fibrosus, prevent immediate tissue reherniation, and accelerate healing during the patient’s convalescence.

Tax Titans provides a free platform for small businesses to receive quotes and quotations from qualified and vetted tax professionals.

The Terratory platform offers intelligent planning, routing and team management for the turf care industry.

How SCRA member companiesBusinesses will receive coaching, access to experts, grant eligibility and investment consideration from an SCRA affiliate, SC Release.

SCRA also awarded $125,000 in grants to three member firms across the state.

Dealerverse Inc. of Greenville received a $25,000 grant to develop the project. The information technology startup has designed an AI-powered technology stack that combines creative content, technology, and results into a single AI-powered decision-making tool.

Other grant recipients include: Notey Inc. Cayce and Querri Inc. Mt. Pleasant. Both companies received a $50,000 accelerator grant.
