Sheppard Mullin Hires Corporate Transactions Partner in Chicago

Sheppard Mullin on Thursday hired Thomas DeSplinter as a partner in the corporate and securities department of its Chicago-based firm, the seventh partner the firm has added to its transaction team in the past year.

DeSplinter focuses on advising healthcare and energy companies on corporate spin-offs, debt financings, divestitures, and private equity or venture capital fundraising, as well as mergers and acquisitions. He joined Sheppard Mullin after more than five years as a partner at McGuireWoods and is currently the Chief Defender of the United States Army Reserve in Illinois.
