Amazon Global Sales Expected to Surpass $13 Billion in Exports by End of 2024

Amazon Global Selling, the e-commerce giant’s export program, is on track to cross $13 billion in total e-commerce exports from India by the end of 2024 and achieve its target of $20 billion by 2025, a senior official revealed on Thursday.

In an exclusive interview to PTI, Amazon India’s Global Commerce Director Bhupen Wakankar revealed that since the export programme was launched in 2015, it has enabled the sale of over 400 million ‘Made in India’ products to its global customer base.

“When we started,” Wakankar noted, “we committed to achieving a target of $10 billion in cumulative exports from small and medium-sized enterprises by 2025. By 2020, we had doubled that commitment to $20 billion by 2025. We are pleased to announce that by the end of 2024, we will have achieved $13 billion and are well on track to achieve our target of $20 billion by 2025.”
