Vera, Back-office administrative and bonding service, is listed in SMBTech 50 for 2024

New York, New York–(Newsfile Corp. – September 5, 2024) – Vera, an AI backend service that aims to reduce the administrative burden on America’s small and midsize businesses, has been named to the 2024 SMBTech 50 list. This annual list, created by Notable Capital in partnership with 25 venture capital firms, recognizes the most promising venture-backed technology startups that are supporting small and midsize businesses.

Today, Vera and other featured companies like Anthropic, Canva, Stripe, and Gusto will celebrate the close of trading on Nasdaq MarketSite by ringing a bell.

“We’re incredibly excited about this announcement, not just because we’ve been recognized, but because it highlights the growing importance of SMBs as a market to be in,” said Simon Holland, founder and CEO of Vera. “We believe SMBs should have access to high-quality services and tools that help level the playing field that has traditionally been available only to enterprises.”

Small and medium-sized businesses are key to the U.S. economy, accounting for 99.9% of all businesses and employing 59 million people, or 46% of the private sector workforce. Yet complex and costly administrative and regulatory burdens continue to challenge these businesses. Vera addresses this challenge head-on, automating up to 95% of tasks typically managed by administrative and operational roles, freeing businesses to allocate more time and resources to strategic development.

“With Vera, our administrative burden has been drastically reduced. Managing licenses and taxes is no longer a problem, and we have peace of mind knowing that we are meeting all government requirements in advance.
