Solano Community Foundation Names Janik Its New CEO – The Vacaville Reporter

The Solano Community Foundation has named Leslie Janik as Chief Executive Officer, replacing Connie Harris, who retired Aug. 30 after 23 years with the foundation.

“I am deeply honored and excited to become the new CEO of the Solano Community Foundation,” said Janik. “It is a privilege to lead an organization that has such a profound impact on our community, and I look forward to building on the strong foundation that has been established.”

“I want to express my deepest gratitude to Connie Harris for her years of dedicated service as CEO of the Solano Community Foundation,” she added. “Connie’s passion and commitment have left an indelible mark, and I wish her all the best in her well-deserved retirement.”

Harris expressed confidence in the success of this transformation.

“It has been an honor to lead the Solano Community Foundation, and I am proud of what we have accomplished together,” said Harris. “Leslie is a visionary leader, and I am confident that under her leadership, the foundation will reach new heights.”

Janik most recently served as Senior Director at Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Inc., where she led eight business functions, managed a $20 million budget, and provided guidance to multiple leadership teams. With two terms as Vallejo’s Civil Service Commissioner, active membership in Soroptimist International of Vallejo, and 24 years in the city, Janik’s contributions reflect her deep-rooted commitment to promoting positive change and community development.

“We are thrilled to welcome Leslie as our new CEO,” said Heather Henry, chair of the board. “Leslie brings energy, community commitment, and a collaborative, can-do attitude to the foundation. The board is excited to support Ms. Janik as SCF evolves under her leadership.”
