iPhone 16 Series Prices Leaked Ahead of Premiere

Apple is gearing up to launch the iPhone 16 series in less than a week, marking the company’s first major foray into artificial intelligence (AI), which Apple is calling “Apple Intelligence.” These AI-powered features are expected to launch with the iOS 18 update later this year. In addition to the new AI features and capabilities, the upcoming iPhone 16 lineup is also expected to see a price increase.

According to leaks from Apple Hub, here are the probable prices of the upcoming iPhone 16 series:

iPhone 16 – $799 (approx. Rs. 66,300)
iPhone 16 Plus – USD 899 (approx. Rs. 74,600)
iPhone 16 Pro – USD 1,099 (approx. Rs. 91,200)
iPhone 16 Pro Max – USD 1,199 (approx. Rs. 99,500)

While these prices are very close to the iPhone 15 launch prices, the final prices in India are likely to differ due to several taxes and duties. However, recent reports have confirmed that the iPhone 16 will be assembled in India, in collaboration with Apple’s largest contract manufacturer, Apple, which will lead to a slight price cut. In the case of the iPhone 15, Apple has reduced the prices by as much as Rs 6,000, thanks to the changes in customs duties in the country.

Meanwhile, according to numerous leaks and rumors, we can expect the following improvements in the iPhone 16 series:

Modernized camera system

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, sans Pro, are said to return to a vertical camera setup reminiscent of the iPhone 12 series. That marks a departure from the diagonal layout introduced in the iPhone 13. The vertical design could improve spatial video recording, a feature that pairs well with devices like the Vision Pro. While the specific benefits aren’t entirely clear, this change could include a larger sensor or improved image capture.

Larger displays

The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models are expected to feature larger displays, surpassing the screen sizes of their predecessors. Rumors suggest the iPhone 16 Pro could grow to 6.2-6.3 inches, while the Pro Max could go up to 6.8-6.9 inches, compared to 6.1 and 6.7 inches on the iPhone 15 Pro models.

New color options

Apple may introduce a new range of colors for the iPhone 16 series, including black, green, pink, blue, and white. However, some popular colors from previous models, such as purple and yellow, may not be available this time. With these updates, the iPhone 16 lineup promises a combination of refreshed design and improved features.

New function buttons

Apple could introduce two additional buttons in the iPhone 16 series: a revamped version of the traditional mute switch and an all-new button aimed at expanding functionality, similar to the action button on the Pro models. This new button could provide quicker access to frequently used features like the camera, flashlight, and personalized shortcuts.

Narrower bezels, sleeker design
