Stay up to date on storm impacts in the Houston area with these tools from KPRC 2

HOUSTON – Our Storm Tracker 2 team is tracking problems in the tropics, especially in the Gulf of Mexico. These problems could reach southeast Texas next week. Will it become Tropical Storm Francine?

From severe weather warnings to hourly forecasts, road conditions and preparations you should make at home or in the office, here’s how KPRC 2 can help you and your family weather the storm.

Flood tracking

KPRC Flood Tracking (KPRC2/Click2Houston.com)

KPRC 2 has partnered with the Harris County Flood Control District to better serve our community during extreme weather events.

Whenever the Houston area experiences significant rainfall, you can visit Click2Houston.com/floodtracker to see which neighborhoods are most impacted.

Our expert meteorologists have flood gauge maps that they use to illustrate current conditions. When all the gauges are green, we are in a great position. When the gauges start to turn yellow and red, the water is rising. It is an easy, visual way to see when and where people and property are most at risk for flooding.
