Amazon continues to sell the flagship Galaxy S24+ at heavily discounted prices

Are you an Android fan who doesn’t care about the latest Pixel 9 series? Don’t worry, Samsung’s excellent Galaxy S24+ is a fantastic choice, provided you don’t mind paying a premium for a high-end flagship. Typically, the 512GB configuration can cost almost $1,120, but Amazon’s generous offer saves you $201 on the Onyx Black model.

Is this the best discount Amazon has ever offered? Of course not. Is the phone a worthwhile buy at its current price? Very much so, considering Best Buy and Walmart don’t have the same promotion.

This Galaxy S24+ It may not be as AI-enhanced as Google’s latest Pixel phones, but it’s still one of the best Android phones out there (perhaps even the best for some). It has a gorgeous 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 1-120Hz refresh rate and improved peak brightness levels, and it offers incredible performance thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

While it lacks the zoom photo quality of its bigger brother, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, this bad boy is also one of the best camera phones out there. The photos taken with its cameras have natural colors, proper exposure, and great detail. If you opt for the S24+, you can easily become the family photographer at important gatherings.

Are there any competitors worth checking out before pulling the trigger? Funny you ask, because there are.

The vanilla model is just as good

If you prefer handheld devices over bigger screens and batteries, or you just don’t want to spend more than $900 on a new phone, consider the Galaxy S24. Considerably more affordable than the 512GB S24+, this model is currently $80 cheaper on Amazon in all available colors.

As we indicated in our Galaxy S24 vs Galaxy S24 Plus Review, the vanilla model has two major advantages over its Plus sibling. The first is the size, as this little guy has a smaller 6.17-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with the same 1-120Hz refresh rate. The second obvious advantage is the price.

While 512GB Galaxy S24The + now costs just under $920 with a $200 discount, with the larger storage configuration of the non-Plus model costing under $780. It does have a 4,000mAh battery instead of 4,900mAh, but it still has decent battery life.

Ultimately, it all comes down to your preferences: a bigger screen and bigger battery, or a more compact phone with a more affordable price tag.
