Transurban’s favourite plan on table for Sydney toll reform

Transurban investors are optimistic the company’s preferred motorway option will be a bargaining chip in Sydney’s motorway toll reform, as the company has not disclosed details of the terms of its negotiations with the NSW government.

The motorway tolling company has told analysts it is likely in the short or medium term to work out a framework for negotiations with the state on reforming the tolling system in Sydney, where motorists spend about $2.5 billion a year on road privatisation.
