Europe in the Alps, PGA Tour and LPGA have a week off from golf

The FedEx Cup is over, and golf has a sparse schedule ahead of American football. The European Tour has a stage in the Alps with the European Masters in one of golf’s most beautiful locations. The PGA Tour Champions is in St. Louis. The LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour are not playing this week as they prepare for the Solheim Cup in Virginia. The Japan Golf Tour and Asian Tour have a jointly sanctioned tournament in South Korea. The PGA Tour is going dark as it prepares to start its FedEx Cup Fall season next week in California.
