iOS 18 Availability Details and Apple Intelligence Revealed

Apple has announced that iOS18 will be launched September 16just ahead of the launch of the iPhone 16 series on September 20, which will come with iOS 18 pre-installed. The update will be rolled out to all supported iPhone models without a gradual rollout, unlike Google’s gradual rollout method.

However, Apple Intelligence will not be included in iOS 18. Instead, the first set of Apple Intelligence features will include iOS 18.1 (as well as iPadOS 18.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.1) in October. These features will initially support only English in the U.S., with localized English versions coming to other regions like Australia, Canada, and the UK in December. Additional languages like Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish will follow in 2025.

Apple Intelligence Availability on Apple Devices

Apple Intelligence, a suite of AI-powered features, will be available exclusively on the latest iPhone 16 series, as well as last year’s iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models. Additionally, only iPads and Macs with M1 processors or newer will have access to these capabilities. This limited availability is likely due to the higher processing power required for advanced AI features, making older devices incompatible with the upcoming features, even if they are still supported by iOS 18.

According to Apple, the iPhone SE (1st generation) and iPhone XR will not be compatible with iOS 18. All subsequent models will receive the update. Those with iPhone XS models and newer will receive the update starting September 16.
