The Brooklyn Nets announced the following additions and promotions to their basketball operations department.

Makar Gevorkian is entering his fifth season in Brooklyn and has been promoted to vice president of basketball operations and strategic planning. He most recently served as director of salary cap for a two-year term (2022-2024). The Los Angeles native previously served as an associate of salary cap and strategy and as an assistant of basketball operations after joining the franchise in 2020. Prior to his NBA career, Gevorkian worked at two law firms, where he specialized in mergers, acquisitions and emerging private equity firms. He earned a law degree from the University of Chicago and was admitted to the California bar after graduating from Loyola Marymount University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a minor in applied mathematics.
