Leadership Foundation has a new executive director

The Catawba Valley Leadership Foundation announced in a press release the appointment of Dawn Hayden Conner as its new executive director. The foundation, now in its seventh year, provides leadership development to local nonprofits, schools, churches and governments.

Conner previously served as the Donor Engagement Coordinator for Safe Harbor of NC and held sales leadership positions in the healthcare industry. In addition to her professional roles, Conner was instrumental in founding two nonprofit organizations: she was the driving force behind the creation of Child Swap Co-Op and was instrumental in launching CUMC Upward Sports Children’s Ministry with her husband Patrick. She is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University (BA) and Pfeiffer University (MBA).

Foundation President Chad Hall expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “The role of Executive Director is a new one for the foundation, and we are honored to have someone like Dawn in this role. As the foundation continues to grow, it is both necessary and exciting to have Dawn help lead the organization, particularly in the areas of public awareness, fundraising, and operational effectiveness.”
