ForbesToday’s NYT ‘Connections’ Tips and Answers for Wednesday, September 11

Hey guys! Hope you’re having a great week.

Today’s New York Acquaintances Tips and answers coming soon.

How to play Connections

Acquaintances it’s free and popular New York Times daily word game. You get a new puzzle at midnight every day. You can play on New York Games website or application.

You are presented with a grid of 16 words. Your task is to arrange them into four groups of four by establishing connections between them. The groups can be things like things you can click on, the names of research participants, or words preceded by a body part.

There is only one solution to each puzzle, and you need to be careful with words that can fit into more than one category. You can shuffle the words to help you see the connections between them.

Each group is marked with a color. The yellow group is usually the easiest to figure out, the blue and green are in the middle, and the purple group is usually the hardest. The purple group often includes a play on words.

Choose four words that you think go together and press Submit. If you guess and can’t, you lose a life. If you’re close to the correct group, you might see a message saying you’re one word short of the correct answer, but you still need to figure out which word to replace.

If you make four mistakes, it’s game over. Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen with a few tips, and if you’re really struggling, today’s Acquaintances answers. As in the case of Word and other similar games, you can easily share your results with your friends on social media and group chats.

This is your last warning!

  • Yellow group – mark online for later use (BOOKMARK, FAVORITE, LIKE, SAVE)
  • Green Group – on behalf of (BENEFITS, ADVANTAGE, INTEREST, GOOD)
  • Blue group – NBA legends known to all (BIRD, CURRY, KOBE, MAGIC)

I didn’t play a perfect match today, but I have five wins in a row under my belt.

At first I had two paths open to me. What would turn out to be the blues, or a group of terms related to food and drink in Japan. I chose the latter, with my first guess being SAKE, MOCHI, CURRY, and KOBE, and apparently I was wrong. But I got back on track with the blues.

Next were the yellows, because they were easy enough. It took me a moment to figure out which word went with ADVANTAGE, BENEFIT, and INTEREST, but once I figured out SAKE, I had the greens. That left the purple group, which I would never have figured out, as my last win. (I’m not proud of my clue for this one, to be honest!)

That’s all for today Acquaintances hints and answers. Be sure to check out my blog for Friday Game Tips and Solutions if you need them.

PS I think this is my first recipe that I recommend. Japanese curry is absolutely delicious and easy to make. I use store-bought flavor bricks, but there are a few important ingredients that need to be added to get the right level of sweetness. This Kotaku the fragment explains it all (the images were removed from it some time ago).
