Dave Grohl’s Wife Gets Rid of Her Wedding Ring Amid Baby Mess, Cheating

Dave Grohl’s wife Jordyn Blum is giving up jewelry.

The 48-year-old was spotted without her wedding ring just weeks before the 55-year-old Foo Fighters frontman announced he had cheated on her and fathered a child out of wedlock.

Blum opted not to wear her engagement ring during her stay in Los Angeles in early August.

Blum and Grohl walked together, the artist smoking a cigarette and his other half busy with his phone.

On Wednesday, a source told People magazine that Grohl had hired a divorce lawyer before issuing a statement.

The Foo Fighters singer revealed his infidelity in a social media post on Tuesday, writing: “I recently became a father to a new daughter, born out of wedlock.”

“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to earn back their trust and earn their forgiveness,” Grohl added.

The musician concluded his statement with a plea to the public: “We are grateful for the consideration of all the children involved as we move forward together.”

A representative for Grohl told The Post that he had no additional comment at this time.

The “Learn To Fly” singer married Blum, 48, a former MTV model and producer, at their Los Angeles home on August 2, 2003.

The star-studded guest list included Clive Davis and Grohl’s former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic.

The couple, who have been married for 21 years, have three daughters: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.

It was Blum’s first marriage and Grohl’s second.

From 1994 to 1997, he was married to photographer Jennifer Youngblood.

Meanwhile, Violet apparently closed her Instagram account after news broke that her father had become a father to his fourth child. It’s unclear when she first closed the page, though.

The father-daughter duo were spotted together at Glastonbury Festival in June 2023, when Grohl invited his eldest child on stage to perform a song from his band’s latest album, “But Here We Are.”

“My favorite singer in the world,” he said, and Violet stood next to him.

“This is a song I wrote for my mother, Grandma Violet. It’s ‘Show Me How’.”

When the singers finished singing the song, Grohl shouted, “That’s my girl!”

“I love it when you’re on stage with your daughter and a note gets inappropriate,” he joked to the crowd, which erupted in thunderous applause.

Violet Maye, now one of Grohl’s four daughters, was named after the artist’s grandmother.

Although their family tends to keep a low profile, they posed together on the red carpet at the 2023 Grammy Awards.

However, Grohl has spoken openly about his family from time to time.

“Jordyn and Violet are my anchors that keep me from disappearing completely,” he told The Guardian in 2007.

Reflecting on how his priorities have changed since having children, Grohl told TIME in 2010, “I used to tour nine months out of the year. Now I don’t like to be away from my kids for more than 12 days.”

“It changed everything I do,” he continued.

“When you have children, you look at life through different eyes. You feel love more deeply and you’re maybe a little more compassionate. It’s inevitable that that will be reflected in your songwriting.”

The news that the former Nirvana drummer and Blum were expecting Violet’s child was accidentally revealed by Grohl’s former bandmate, the late Taylor Hawkins.

“We’re going to be touring Europe in January and February, but we have to be home by March because Dave and his wife are expecting a baby,” he told MTV in 2006.

“But I probably shouldn’t tell you that.”
