MGM Resorts signs agreement to expand use of renewable energy

Hotel Industry Leader to More Than Double Access to Solar Energy

MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) (“MGM Resorts” or the “Company”) is taking a bold step toward its ambitious sustainability goals by signing a power purchase agreement with Escape Solar LLC that will more than double access to clean solar energy—a remarkable step toward a greener future. The agreement will help the Company advance toward its goal of sourcing 100% renewable energy in North America by 2030. Already a global leader in sustainability with the world’s largest line of direct-connect solar cells in the hospitality industry, MGM Resorts currently uses solar energy for 90% of its total daily demand at 11 of its iconic properties on the Las Vegas Strip. This visionary 25-year agreement will strengthen the Company’s renewable energy capabilities and expand production to meet 100% of the total daily demand at these properties. Additionally, Escape Solar+ battery storage will enable renewable energy to be extended into the late afternoon and early evening hours to cover applications such as property exterior lighting.
