Infinix Zero 40 5G India launch date confirmed: Expected price, specs and everything we know so far

Infinix has confirmed that it will launch its flagship Infinix Zero 40 5G smartphone in India on September 18, which will have a heavy focus on the camera and generative AI-powered features. The launch announcement comes just days after the company also announced that it is launching its first tablet, the Infinix XPad, in India.

The Infinix Zero 50 features a circular camera module at the back, the design of which resembles the OnePlus 12 series. However, the differentiating factor seems to be the dual-tone finish at the bottom with the “Zero” branding.

In terms of the camera, Infinix has confirmed that the Zero 40 5G will feature a 108MP main camera with OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. There will also be a “bokeh” lens along with a zoom flash and a regular flash.

The phone will feature a 3D curved display on the front and an overall slim and lightweight profile, measuring just 7.9mm thick and weighing 195g. It will be available in three colours: Violet Garden, Moving Titanium, and Rock Black.

In terms of AI, the Zero 40 5G will come with features like an AI eraser, AI generative wallpaper, AI die-cut sticker, and more. While the Zero 40 5G has not made its official debut in India yet, it was recently launched in Malaysia, giving us a taste of what’s to come.

Infinix Zero 40 5G Specifications:

The Infinix Zero 40 5G (Malaysia Variant) sports a 6.74-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1300 nits. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor with support for up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

The phone is equipped with a 5000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging via wired and 20W wireless charging. It runs on XOS 14.5 based on Android 14 and promises to receive 2 years of Android updates, making it future-proof all the way to Android 16.

The Zero 40 5G price in Malaysia is $399, which makes the price in India around 33,500. The price of the device in India is not known yet and we will have to wait until September 18 for the detailed announcement.
