Swedish construction and development company Skanska announced on Friday that its executive vice president and general counsel resigned.

According to a press release, Caroline Fellenius Omnell has been with Skanska for eight years and has been a member of the group’s leadership team since 2017.

“I would like to thank Caroline for her commitment, strategic insight and development of the legal function across the Group. Her expert legal advice has been crucial to our continued success in navigating complex market conditions and has contributed significantly to increasing the value of the company,” said Anders Danielsson, President and CEO of Skanska, in a statement. “I wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

Skanska did not want to say why Omnell left.

Ulrika Wester, Skanska’s vice president of ethics and compliance, was named acting executive vice president and general counsel on Friday and will remain in the role until Skanska selects a permanent successor.

This is not the first change in Skanska’s management this year.

In April, the company announced Financial Director Magnus Persson will step down. Unlike Omnell, Persson stayed on while the company searched for a successor. An 18-year veteran of the company, Persson joins Evroc, a Stockholm-based technology and information company that is building what it says will be the first secure, sovereign and sustainable hyperscale cloud in Europe.

Jonas Rickberg will take over as CFO through Jan. 31, the company announced in August. Rickberg is currently chief financial officer and executive vice president of Scania Group, the heavy-duty commercial vehicle subsidiary of German carmaker Volkswagen based in Södertälje, Sweden. Before his 20-year career at Scania, Rickberg spent five years at Volvo.
