Emmy 2024: Producers Reveal What to Expect at the 76th Emmy Awards

LOS ANGELES — Emmys executive producer Jesse Collins and director Alex Rudzinski give “Good Morning America” ​​viewers a first look at what’s in store for the biggest night of television.

“I know there will be some TV moments that people will remember forever,” Collins said. “We were able to get Ron Howard and Henry Winkler. We’ll build some sets.”

Rudzinski added that “they will return to the stage together at the ‘Happy Days’ bar.”

The two say the plan is to gather everyone’s favorite TV characters in one place, grouped by the jobs they do on-screen.

“We’re going to have this great coaching moment under the leadership of Jane Lynch, who was an incredible coach on ‘Glee,’ and it’s going to come with an incredible surprise,” Collins said.

Rudzinski added that the next group will be TV cops, including Don Johnson.

Of course, interest in the show’s hosts, Dan Levy and Eugene Levy, is growing.

“When we talked to them in the first Zoom meeting, we saw them sharing opinions and saying, ‘This is a win,’” Collins said.

One of the moments the mighty band promises will be their best of the year is In Memoriam by Jelly Roll.

“The hairs on the back of my neck stood on end when I first heard them,” Rudzinski shared.

Collins added: “We have the right singer. An artist who can really capture the emotion of the moment.”

The 76th Emmy Awards will air live from LA Live in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 15 at 8:00 PM ET on ABC. It will also be streamed on Hulu the following day.
